Messerschmitt Airfix Kit - 2020

A failed yet successful project in its own right.

I purchased an Airfix Kit of a Messerschmitt Aeroplane that I hoped to 3D Scan and then re-model over the top of to show some renders of it going from separated to a finished model through the use of animation.

However, because all of these parts are so small, I was unable to scan it well with any sort of detail that I could use; so I had to push through and model the project to look accurate and good as individual parts of the plastic grids.

Unfortunately, because it was then only built with a top view in mind in terms of reference images, it didn't assemble too well with the best accuracy. I would therefore like to look into 3D Scanning further in the future beyond just several apps on my mobile phone.
Below is a representation of half the Airfix Kit that you're able to pan around and zoom into via Sketchfab. The model has had to be optimized so that it meets the 100mb file size limit. I have also used Sketchfab's own materials as to keep that limit as low as possible.
